dc.description.abstract | The present research study is divided into six chapters. The first chapter is the newlinebird s eyeview of the Dalit consciousness and Dalit literature in general. The realistic newlineattitudes of the novelists and their motifs in writing of these novels have been newlinediscussed. A cursory glance has been thrown on the main Bhakti poets who inspired newlineDalit consciousness. It has also shown how Mahatma Jyotirao Phule, Dr. B.
