dc.description.abstractThis thesis entitled the Synthesis and evaluation of New Dihydroyrimidinones Mannich Bases of Pharmacological interest newlinehas been divided into eight chapters. newlineChapter-1: Recent Advances in synthesis and Chemistry of Dihydroyrimidinones. newlineThis chapter deals with literature pertaining to synthesis of dihydropyrimidinones along with their chemistry. In the synthesis of newlinedihydropyrimidinones, a brief account has been given on the role of different protic and aprotic acids and Lewis acid catalysts in the presence of solvent and also in absence of solvent, solid phase and newlinesolid supported reactions reported for the Biginelli compounds.In chemistry of dihydropyrimidinones the reactions with different reagents, and under different reaction conditions as reported in newlineliterature by different authors, are summarized.en_US
