Abstract: | The presented research work focuses on transition nanoparticles and poly (N-ethyl aniline)- newlinetransition metal nano composites. newlineThe size of the nano particles ranges from 1-100 nm. Nanochemistry or nano technology deals newlinewith the synthesis of nanoparticles, their compounds and different nano structures. Surface newlineeffects and volume effects play a vital role for the properties of nanoparticles. These nano newlineparticles are different from the bulk materials as the sizes of the nano particles determine their newlinephysical and chemical properties. The properties of the bulk materials are very different from newlinethat of the nano materials. An important example to this is the semiconductor CdS whose melting newlinepoint is about 1873 K (for bulk) which reduces to 673 K on decreasing the size to few newlinenanometers. The nano particles can be present in different groups or can be free. This would newlinedepend upon the extent of the forces existing between them. The applications of nano size newlineparticles range from their use in optoelectronic devices, light sensors, biological labelling, newlinemagnetic storage devices, catalysis etc. The size distribution of the nanoparticles plays a vital newlinerole in governing their properties. newlineThe synthesis of the nano particles generally newline |
