Abstract

The thesis entitled and#8215;The Teaching of Language Skills through Songs, Film Segments and Video Clips, is a modest attempt by the researcher to identify the importance of Authentic Materials in the teaching of language skills. newlineGone are the days when the teaching of English language was synonymous with teaching of grammar rules, rote learning of the examples of those rules and learning a few every day expressions by heart. Teaching and learning of English has no longer remained a monotonous affair; on the contrary, with the modern teaching methods and approaches, this process has become more interesting.
