An Empirical Study on Financial Performance of Selected New Private Sector Banks In India

Abstract

Aim:The main aim is to study financial performance of selected sample banks for the period of 10 years. newlineMaterial and Method:In this study, following 7 new PSB have been selected for the period of 10 years starting from 2006 to 2015. newlineHDFC BANK, AXIS BANK ICICI BANK, INDUSIND BANK, DCB, KOTAK MAHINDRA BANK, YES BANK newlineOne factor has been considered for the selection of the sample that is year of establishment. The banks, which were established after 1991 with the introduction of economic reforms, are taken for the research study. Researcher has used Standard Deviation and ANVOA test. We are concern with banks wise analysis rather than year to year comparison so one way ANOVA has been used in this study. newlineConclusion:Overall performance of KOTAK Bank and YES Bank is found to be very good and found to be the best banks. Capital adequacy management of KOTAK Bank is higher than all the selected banks. AQM and management efficiency of YES Bank is substantially higher than all. DCB and INDUSIND bank s performance is very weak in each and every concept and ratios that has been employed.
