Abstract: Aim: The research seeks to comprehend the work preferences of potential employees. It analyses the factors which determine the attractiveness of organisations as considered by the potential employees who would consider a multitude of features regarding probable employers before opting for employment. newlineResearch Methodology: The potential employees were targeted for the research. There were multiple techniques which were utilised for analysing the data collected which included the factor analysis, t-test and ANOVA. newline Results and Discussion: An organisation considered as prestigious attracts those who want to be associated with it for its repute. It is also important for the potential employees to have an employer where they have opportunities for professional growth and advancement and chances of cordial associations with their superiors and colleagues. The potential employees also favour the organisations which are considered as having ethics and values. The ways that these potential employees are compensated and the security of tenure they can obtain from their probable employers and the attractiveness of the tasks that they would need to perform also draw them. The organisations which offer a favourable working atmosphere also attract the potential employees. These factors attract the potential employees differently as per their work experience and specialisation. There are also differences regarding the popularity of the sources of employment considered by the potential employees. newlineConclusion: Thus the research analysed the work preferences of the aspirants. The factors which attract them include prestige, advancement, relations with colleagues and superiors, ethics and values, compensation and security, task attractiveness and organisational climate. Their importance for the potential employees differs as per their work experience and specialisation. These should be considered by organisations who want to attract these potential employees. newline newline
