Abstract: | The ultimate goal of the study was to develop a stable, cost effective modified release dosage form of highly soluble drugs such as newlineTrimetazidine dihydrochloride, Glucosamine hydrochloride and Tramadol hydrochloride. It was further aimed to perform the bioavailability and bioequivalence studies for selected model drugs i.e. Trimetazidine dihydrochloride and Glucosamine hydrochloride. Initially the drug-polymer interactions were studied for three model newlinedrugs with excipients by physical bservation, chemical analysis and FTIR studies. The results found that three model drugs were newlinecompatible with excipients present in the study. Trimetazidine dihydrochloride modified release tablets were newlineprepared by direct compression technique by using Xanthan gum and newlinePolyethylene oxide as release modifiers in different concentrations. newlineGlucosamine hydrochloride tablets were prepared by wet newlinegranulation technique by using HPMC K100M and HPMC K200M as a newlinerate controlling polymers in different concentrations. newlineTramadol hydrochloride tablets were prepared by direct newlinecompression technique by using Kollidon SR, Xanthan gum and newlinePolyethylene oxide as controlled release polymers in different newlineconcentrations. newline |
