OPPORTUNITY ANALYSIS OF THE HEALTHCARE SECTOR AN EMPIRICAL STUDY DELHI_NCR

Abstract

This thesis is the result of a study on business development opportunities, challenges and limitations of the healthcare sector in India. It served as the final assessment of the Doctorate of Philosophy program followed at Amity University, India. newlineHealth is a basic component of human development and wellbeing it determines society s wellbeing too. Through human development, better healthcare facilities to expand health resources and productivity of the population are very much needed to understand the key issues involved in the healthcare sectors. We just can t reckon all sectors as same in the healthcare domain so these are been studied and addressed separately in this work. newlineThe following research gives an insight in relevant and practical strategies for the strategists and policy makers to address the challenges and opportunities in the big emerging healthcare market of India. After an extensive analysis and noting the views of the experts in the area, 6 possible sectors were identified to be studied in this work. This research is conducted in Delhi/NCR to address the challenges and opportunities of the sectors identified to be studied. Following this objective, Prof (Dr) J K Sharma and I decided to study this subject and investigate it to more in depth. newline newline
