Abstract: The manufacturing industries, especially engineering, Textile, Machinery, newlineAutomobile sector, around the world are getting affected by rapid growing newlineglobalization and emerging technologies and practices. The small and medium size newlineenterprises remain in high-risk position because of competitive market pressure and newlineoriginal equipment manufacturers high expectations. Hence small-to-medium size newlineenterprises need to function in a responsive manner to customer demands and newlineexpectations of right quality. Original equipment manufacturers are now making newlinecompulsions to their suppliers to continuously increase quality and to implement newlineLean Manufacturing tools and techniques as per their volume of production. This newlinehas created new perspectives and pressure on the small and medium-sized newlineenterprises for production of quality products. Many quality concepts and tools are newlineavailable and are used for quality improvements, such as Lean Manufacturing, Six newlineSigma, Lean Six Sigma, etc. newlineLean practices are the recent methods of managing the business and are based on newlinethe principles of waste management while maximizing quality and flexibility. The newlinemain aim of the research is the development of Lean Practice Model for Small and newlineMedium Scale Manufacturing Enterprises.
