Abstract

The main objectives of the present thesis are: newline(A) To document the carbonaceous macrofossils, ministromatolite, newlinemicrofossils/acritarchs, permineralized microfossils and Microbially Induced newlineSedimentary Structures (MISS) in the different formations of the Bhander newlineGroup: attempt their taxonomy and relevance with sedimentary sequence newlineentombing them; newline(B) To attempt and provide biostratigraphy of the Bhander Group; newline(C) To assess the Thermal Alteration Index (TAI) of the preserved microfossils newlinefrom different horizons of the Bhander Group; newline(D) To discuss the palaeobiological assemblage and their potential in newlinehydrocarbon generation. newline
