Abstract: | newline The growth and development are the areas of concern for every professional and each organization globally. Educators and academic institutions are also facing the challenges of continues growth due to the developments that are deriving the economic and social activities of twenty first century. newlineThis research study used the exploratory and descriptive research designs. A sample of 400 faculty members was used to gather primary data. In this study sample random sampling technique was used and the data collection for this study is done through survey method by using selfadministered questionnaires where the researcher remained with the respondent while filling responses in the questionnaire. The reliability coefficient Cronbach Alpha was used to check the reliability of instrument. The value of reliability coefficient is .913 which is an indicator of high reliability so it can be deduced from the value that the instrument is reliable. The last objective of the research was to identify the critical success factors for faculty development which plays significant role in the development of business school. The factors identified during this research work include newlineFactor1 Factor2 Factor3 Factor4 Factor5 Factor6 and Factor7. newline The gender and age based analysis of sample data suggests that investment in faculty development provide various benefits such as benefits of strengthening the course management system benefits of positioning a business school as a better place to work and study benefits of having greater visibility in market place etc. The analysis disclosed that the number one challenge is greater diversity of learners followed by challenge of increased expectations of management to improve placement through classroom teaching. newline Development of faulty also depends upon their compensation packages career growth plan at individual level and at their work place. Autonomy at work place provides a sense of independence in various level of decision making. newline |
