The present study Environmental Impact Assessment: A Comparative Study to newlineEvaluate and Validate the EIA with Special Reference to an Industrial Town of newlineUttarakhand (Kashipur) is carried out. newlineAfter formation of Uttarakhand as a new State rapid industrializations and newlineurbanization took place and due to this there is great pressure on the environmental newlinecomponents. Hence, earlier environmental studies needs evaluation and validation newlinewith special reference to the EIA Notification 2006 and proposed Environmental newlineManagement Plan. newlineKashipur is an old industrial town of Uttarakhand State, earlier belonging to Uttar newlinePradesh. This town experienced an industrialization way back in 1988 1989. Few newlinemajor type of industries working in this area belongs to Distillery, Chemical, Paper newlineand other small industries. After formation of Uttarakhand in the year 2000 and due newlineto fiscal benefits various kinds of industries are coming up in this area, which newlineincludes paper, distillery, chemical and gas based thermal power plants etc. newline
