Abstract: The present research was conducted to make the comparison between the forces newlinedeployed for internal security for the differences and similarities in their newlineOccupational Stress in relation to their Personality, Type A- Type B orientation and newlinePathological Orientation. The sample consisted of 400 personnel from four forces newlinedeployed for internal security. Out of the total sample, 100 personnel were taken from newlineBorder Security Force (BSF), 100 from Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), 100 newlinefrom Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) and 100 were taken from Local Police. newlineThe technique of Stratified Random Sampling was adopted in selecting samples newlinefrom Officers and Subordinates. Occupational Stress Questionnaire, newlineMultidimensional Assessment of Personality, Medico Psychological Questionnaire newlineand Test for Type A- Type B orientation were administered to all the personnel newlineindividually. A 4 X 2 X 5 factorial design (with equal numbers) was applied to newlinecompare the forces for their occupational Stress. Four levels of Internal Security newlineForces (BSF, CRPF, CISF, and Local Police), two ranks of personnel (Officers and newlineSubordinates) for all the four forces were taken. Under each rank five levels of length newlineof service i.e. entry level, 1-5 years of service, 6-10 years of service, 11-15 years of newlineservice and 16-20 years of service were taken. Multiple Analysis of Variance was newlineapplied to study the cross sectional differences in occupational stress of forces and newlineMultiple Regression Analysis was applied to study the relation of occupational stress newlinewith personality, type A-type B orientation, and pathological orientation of forces newlinedeployed for internal security. The results show that the subordinates are high on newlineoverall stress as compared to the officers, Subordinates are high on occupational newlinestress factors like Role ambiguity, Role conflict, Under participation, powerlessness, newlineStrenuous working condition, Intrinsic impoverishment, Poor Peer Relation and Low status, the General Neuroticism score of subordinates is higher than the officers..
