dc.description.abstract | There are two primary objectives of this thesis. The first aim is to modify and newlinevalidate a mathematical model. This model should allow simulating the pressure newlineand temperature in the cylinder during the engine cycle as well as the engine newlineperformance parameters. This model is not meant to be used in real-time newlineapplications and cannot be directly incorporated into the electronic control unit. newlineAt the same time the model should be easily adjustable to any engine. The second newlineaim is to control the engine performance. Various control strategies will be newlineimplemented and compared. newlineThe objectives of this thesis can be summed up as modify mathematical model for newlinepredicting the variation of fuel injection angle by using diesel and jatropha oil as newlinefuel, model for observing the effect of injection pressure, model for analyzing the newlineeffect of fuel inlet temperature on engine performance and simulation of the newlinemodified model for engine performance by F-Chart Software. newline | |
