Abstract: The thesis addresses the newlineoptimization process of gas pipeline networks. Ant Colony optimization (ACO) newline19 newlinealgorithm which has not so far been applied to this system has been used for newlineoptimization. A framework for Modelling gas pipeline network similar to earlier newlineworks (Tabkhi, 2007) has been used with a modification that isentropic head and newlineisentropic efficiency are a function of compression ratio instead of rotational speed. newlineTwo different problems of Gas Pipeline Network have been analyzed. newline
