Abstract: The advancement in the field of mechanical engineering is very newlineessential to meet the growing demands of the industry. In particular the newlinedemand for alloy materials having high hardness, toughness and impact newlineresistance has grown multi fold due to high level of design constraints. Electro newlineChemical Micro Machining (ECMM) machines are used to cut metals of any newlinehardness or that are difficult or impossible to cut with traditional methods. newlineThese machines also specialize in cutting complex contours or geometries that newlinewould be difficult to produce using conventional cutting methods. Machine newlinetool industry has made exponential growth in its manufacturing capabilities in newlinelast decade but these machine tools are yet to be utilized at their full potential newlinedue to inadequate data on optimum operating parameters. The problem of newlinearriving at the optimum levels of the operating parameters on Material newlineRemoval Rate (MRR) has attracted the attention of researcher to take-up research in this area. newlineThe literature survey has revealed that a little research has been newlineconducted to obtain the combination of optimal levels of machining newlineparameters that yield the maximum MRR and best machining quality in newlinemachining of difficult to machine materials like Nickel, Super Duplex newlineStainless Steel (SDSS) and Inconel 600. It is difficult to achieve required newlinequality in parts machined by ECMM process consistently with improper newlineselection of levels of various process parameters. The selection of optimum parameters for machining of Nickel and its alloys is a tough newlinechallenge for Aero space, Electronics and Bio-medical industries. Hence, newlinethe Nickel and its alloys are specifically selected for this research. newlineThe objective of the present research work is to investigate the newlineeffects of the various ECMM process parameters on the MRR and newlinedimensional deviation to obtain the optimal sets of process parameters to newlineproduce efficient high quality machining. newline
