Analysis of performance optimization of multihop wireless networks using frame aggregation

Abstract

This thesis presents the work organized into 5 chapters which include Introduction newlineabout Heterogeneous Wireless Network, Literature Review; Simulation and Design; newlineResults and Finally Conclusion and Future Scope. The references of the content newlinereferred and the appendix has also been added at the end of the thesis. The content of newlineeach chapter can be described as follow: newlineChapter 1 gives an overview about Wireless Networks, its architecture. The newlineproperties of different wireless network also have been discussed in this chapter. newlineMoreover, the aggregation protocols have been described in the chapter. The chapter newlineends up with objectives and the whole dissertation outline. Basically this chapter newlinecovers the introduction study required to understand the work. newlineChapter 2 describes the literature review. Several research works have been studied newlinehere in the field of Heterogeneous wireless environment. Based on the excellent newlineresearch and review papers written in this field, the wide scope to find out the new newlinepossibilities in this area has been open out. The literature review plays a very newlineimportant role in the research process. It is a source from where research ideas are newlinedrawn and developed into concepts and finally theories. It also provides the newlineresearcher a bird s eye view about the research done in that area so far. newlineChapter 3 describes the proposed algorithm with existing work. This chapter newlinedescribes the 802.11n IEEE standard which introduces various frame aggregation newlineschemes that provide high data rate as well as high throughput. This chapter also newlinediscusses the proposed frame aggregation scheme. Moreover, the chapter gives the newlinealgorithm and the flow chart of the proposed scheme. The chapter also describes the newlineXX newlineaggregation data in IEEE 802.11n standard as the proposed work describes the data newlineaggregation for this standard. newlineChapter 4 discusses the methodology.
