dc.description.abstractnewlineRecruitment and selection strategies and their impact on business performance of commercial banks of India is an important subject for discussion as more than 7.5 lakhs new employees are the target of commercial banks in India for expanding their business. A combined model having HRP and recruitment and selection practices will provide us a better result as both are almost inseperable. Recruitment and selection is a step which is an outcome of deficit predicted during HRP process. newline newlineThe study has three broader objectives: One, to assess and compare the business performance of commercial banks. Two, to know and prepare a comparative analysis of recruitment and selection strategies of commercial banks of India and three, to examine the impact of recruitment and selection strategies on the business performance of commercial banks. To satisfy these objectives overall nine hypotheses were designed. newline newlineIn summary sound HR planning backed up by sound recruitment and selection practices provide right kind of employee at right place and right time and positively leads to healthy business performance outcome. It provides necessary fit and flexibility for achieving organization mission and vision. If, however only quality is met and quantity of employees is compromised intentionally or unintentionally, it can deteriorate bank performance outcome. Banks need to check to constantly monitor their employee retention rate and employee turnover for this. newline newline
