dc.description.abstractnewline The thesis aims at developing practice of Human Resources Strategies for improving overall productivity in OEM automobile industries in and around Chennai industrial belt. HRM strategies influenced the factors of employee s productivity which have been analysed in a detailed manner in this research. Demographic variables is analysed in a detailed order with respect to the different age group, grade, designation, salary, income, experience etc. In this research study, employees opinion survey played key a role which reflected 10 factors such as holistic approach, motivation ,welfare, training and development career planning and development, employees attitude and behaviour, culture, knowledge and skills, education and for increasing overall productivity, which played significant role to find the impact of employees overall productivity. A Structural Equation Model (SEM) has been developed for this research study. The factors of SEM influenced each other to increase the overall productivity. The research study also analysed the impact of factors of productivity in OEM Automobile Industries. The research study mainly focuses on HRM strategies and practices because these played vital part to bring employees under an umbrella towards objective of the organization. Consequently, the impact of each factors of overall productivity is also been discussed clearly in this research report. Human Resources is a centre core asset of every organization . Nothing can be done without human skills and knowledge. Hence, the research study analysed and explored the impact of employee s competence such as skills and knowledge, attitude and behaviour, culture and education. newline
