dc.description.abstractRecent environmental concerns stresses the need to develop leadfree newlineferroelectric materials Barium Strontium Titanate BST with the general newlineformula Ba1xSrxTiO3 has a perovskite structure and Strontium Barium newlineNiobate SBN with the general formula SrxBa1xNb2O6 has a Tetragonal newlineTungsten Bronze TTB structure are considered as promising leadfree newlineferroelectric materials Unlike most of the ferroelectric materials that exhibit newlineferroelectric phase only for a particular composition the BST and SBN newlinematerials exhibit ferroelectricity over wide composition range between newline001 x 030 and 020 x 080 with the high dielectric constant with newlinetunable Curie temperature Tc In the present work BST and SBN has been newlinesynthesized by solid state method with different compositions to achieve high newlinedielectric constant with tunable Tc for ferroelectric application newline newline
