Abstract: This thesis presents optimization of Proportional Integral newlineDerivative PID for dcdc buck converter using Artificial Intelligence AI newlinetechniques The dcdc buck converter is designed to track the output voltage newlinewith under various input conditions Open loop control closed loop control newlineand Artificial Immune System AIS based control of buck converter are newlineconsidered in this work The buck converter has few advantages compared to newlineother dc converters However the nonlinearity of the buck converter newlinecharacteristics makes it difficult to control by employing conventional newlinemethods like PID control techniques In order to overcome this AIS based newlinealgorithm for tuning the PID control parameters is employed The newlinemathematical models of buck converter incorporated into the problem newlineformulation are derived by AIS based algorithm newline newline
