Power System Stabilization should be accomplished with suitable newlinestabilizer signals over a wide range of operating environments and newlinedisturbances. The power system stabilizer can suppress the electromechanical newlineoscillations and enhance the power system stability with the aid of its newlineadditional excitation control. The need for power system stabilization has newlinebeen increasing day by day. The demand for electric power requirement has newlinemotivated the usage of power system in an effective and reliable way. The newlinestability of the power system is the ability to extend restoring forces equal to newlineor greater than the disturbing forces to sustain the state of equilibrium. With the enormous need for electric power and requirement to newlinefunction in a faster and highly flexible way in the deregulated competitive newlinesituation, modern power systems can overcome stressed conditions very newlineeasily than the old systems. These make to stabilize unbalanced or badly newlinedamped oscillations that have been seen more frequently in power systems newlineacross the world. In modern days, stabilizing control techniques for the multimachine newlinepower systems with the help of intelligent methods have been newlinedeveloped. The basic challenge for stability analysis is the complexity of the newlinepower systems. In addition, industry will be unwilling to acknowledge newlinecontroller design if stability is not assured. Power industries are restructured to provide effective utilization to newlinemore users at lower prices and better power efficiency. The complexity of the newlinepower systems has been increasing as they become inter-connected. Load newlinedemand also increases linearly with the increase in users. Since stability newlinephenomena limits the transfer capability of the system, there is a need to newlineensure stability and reliability of the power system due to economic reasons. newlineWith these conditions, experts and researchers continually tasked to find newlinesimple, effective and economical strategy of attaining stabilization of the newlinepower system, which is considered to be of highest priority. newlineen_US
