Abstract

In recent years the computerized analysis of medical images has newlinebeen improved in various diagnostic tasks for health care experts The image newlineprocessing mechanisms are widely used in medical image analysis especially newlinefor tumor detection Detection of lung tumor from computer tomography newlineimages and its volume estimation remains a challenging task due to the newlinecomplex nature of the medical images Hence this research work proposes an newlineenhanced level setactive contour modeling technique for the segmentation of newlinethe lung tumor Along with the modeling technique the extracted tumor newlinepixels of the entire 2D slices of the patient dataset are projected in 3D for newlinevolume estimation for better diagnosis and decision making by the physicians newline newline newline
