Need for electrical energy is increasing day by day which results in newlinemore demand for resources. It is becoming difficult to meet the increasing newlinedemand of electricity only with conventional sources. To reduce the gap newlinebetween supply and demand, there has been exploration and continuous newlineenhancement of power generation from renewable energy sources in recent newlineyears. The main advantages of renewable energy sources of power generation newlineare that they are clean sources, sustainable, eco-friendly and able to be newlinereplenished quickly. The only drawback is that they are unpredictable in newlinenature. newlineTo enhance the reliability of the power supply of local grids, newlinerenewable sources like wind, mini/micro hydro etc. are integrated with diesel newlineelectric power generation system to supply power to isolated loads. The newlinemismatch between supply and demand can be minimized if some of the locations have stand-alone power systems to meet local requirements. Here, newlinean isolated wind-micro hydro-diesel hybrid power system is considered, newlinewhose frequency and generated power are regulated using intelligent control newlinetechniques. newlineIn addition to the unsteady nature of wind, frequent change in load newlinedemands may cause large and severe oscillation of power. The fluctuation of newlineoutput power of such renewable sources may cause a serious problem of newlinefrequency and voltage fluctuation of the grid. A proper frequency controller is newlinegreatly expected. The Load Frequency Control (LFC) damps out the frequency newlinedeviation and maintains the dynamic performance of the system. The newlinesupplementary controller of the diesel generating unit, called the Load newlineFrequency Controller, may satisfy these requirements. newlineen_US
