Abstract: In the present world scenario welding is widely employed in newlineaerospace automotive industries shipbuilding etc Among the various newlinewelding processesTungsten Inert Gas TIG welding plays a major role in newlinethe welding of Aluminium alloys titanium and stainless steel which are newlinedifficult to weld by other welding processes Aluminium alloys are available newlinein various series such as 5000 6000 and 7000 etc which may differ from newlineeach other based upon their alloying elements In this work the 6000 and newline7000 series of Aluminium alloys are selected as a base material because they newlineare widely used for automotive and aerospace structures due to their good newlineextrudability weldability and excellent corrosion resistance newline newline
