Abstract: | The study consisted of investigating the influence of the newlinebamboo content in bamboo/cotton and bamboo/polyester newlineblends with different blend compositions. This was followed newlineby manufacture of knitted fabrics and carrying out newlinemicroencapsulation on the same and antibacterical newlineeffectiveness were assesed. From the study it newlinecan be concluded that sample S4 (80:20 bamboo/cotton), S8 newline(20:80 Bamboo (Cotton), S11 (50:50 bamboo/polyester) and newlineS10 (67:33 bamboo / polyester) proved to be superior and for newline(BTPM of 862), the sample S8 (20:80 bamboo/cotton) and newlineS10 (67:33 bamboo/polyester) proved to be superior. To select three fibres, bamboo, cotton are Polyester and to newlineproduce a series of Blended yarns from bamboo/ cotton and newlinebamboo / Polyester , To design and fabricate yarn testing newlinecustom built instruments . To investigate the anti bacterial newlineactivity of selected herbs, on weft knitted, fabric. The methodology of study consists of producing bamboo/ newlinecotton and bamboo/ polyester blends and anti bacterial newlinetreatment carried out on selected fabrics and assessed for anti newlinebacterial effectiveness of herbs. The quality of the fiber ranked with polyester fiber standing newlinefirst interns it good quality followed by bamboo and cotton newlinefiber. The Sample s4 (80: 20 bamboo / cotton ), s8 (20: 80 newlinebamboo / cotton) , s11(50: 50 bamboo /polyester) and S10 newline(67:33 bamboo/polyester) proved to be superior and the newlinesample S8 and S10 proved to be superior. As far as newlineantibacterial properties of microencapsulate coated leucas as newlineper a solution applied on 80:20 bamboo/cotton proved to be newlinesuperior. |
