Globalization and its impact on politics and culture in Iran

Abstract

In this research I tried to discuss about impact of globalization as a most challengeable, sensitive and affective term on politics and culture as main scopes and aspects of globalization in case study of Iran in duration 1950 2011. The main question of this research is: What are the role, affection and impact of globalization on politics and culture of Iran? The hypothesis of this research is: Globalization as a process has began since few century ago but then it has been changed to a project with bases of liberalism and secularism and finally with broadcast neo liberalism has been more effected on politics and culture in worldwide by western industrial and developed countries. In case of Iran, globalization was both opportunity and thread. So, it had positive and negative affection on politics and culture of Iran. I classified this research in seven chapters. In second chapter of research I tried to discuss in theoretical foundations. Among all different definitions of globalization, the selected definition of globalization is: The globalization is a process of similarity and integration of human in the worldwide (awareness or ignorantly) in influence of increase and extension of information and communications technology, and compaction of time and space, under guidance of domination discourse of neo liberalism. newlineix newlineIn third chapter I discussed the foundations and principles of globalization. According to many theoreticians of globalization, the phenomenon of globalization has been formed in base of modernity and then continued with foundation of postmodernism. The fourth chapter is belonging to impact of globalization on culture and politics. In the fifth chapter I discussed relation between Islam and globalization and I tried to attitude globalization as discourse and I assumed that the discourse of Islam is main rival of discourse of neo liberalism globalization. In sixth chapter I specified the indexes and characters of globalization in Iran.
