Abstract: In the Vedic period there were many sannyasins who turned to be newlineliterary scholars. They enthralled the audience with their scintillating newlineaddresses. Notable among those sannyasins were Shankaracharya, newlineRamanujar, Swami Dayananda and so on. In the 19th century also, there newlinelived a few who were sannyasins and literary scholars at once. In this line newlineof celibacy, Swami Vivekananda proved to be one who stood firmly for the newlinedissemination of knowledge on religion, social restructuring, spiritual newlineteaching, etc. by adopting different techniques. He emphasized that religion newlineis not the crying need of India unless they are properly fed. To compete newlinewith other powerful countries, India must be spiritually strong and its root newlinemust be in the religion. He is an Indian born but he had the power of newlinemagnetizing universal brotherhood through his speeches and writings. This newlineresearch critically analyses various aspects of his speeches and writings. newlineHis Social Views have described the combination of society and newlinetheir part in this world. He has tried to bring everyone under one roof. He newlineexplained the required changes to be brought about in order to make the newlineglobe peaceful. Through his speeches and writings, Swami tried to remould newlinethe subjects of this universe especially what, when and where to teach the newlinepoor in order to raise the standard of India. Vivekananda s idea of newlineeducating the women alone could not solve the problems of India. On the newlineix newlinewhole, educating the men is more important. Especially they must be taught newlineto learn the art of living. Along with it they ought to learn how to give newlinerespect and importance to women s feelings. This is possible only after newlinegetting their mind properly trained in Yoga and meditation. Nowadays newlineharassment of women is common everywhere. This happens because our newlinecountrymen are unaware of the respect and honour of an individual. From newlinethe school level onwards, students must be properly trained in Mantras and newlineUpanishads. According to Vivekananda s view, people must learn to see newlineevery woman as a human being. newline
