Abstract: | The protection and enforcement of intellectual property rights for digital newlinemedia has become an important issue. This problem has generated a flurry of newlinerecent research activities in the area of digital watermarking of electronic content newlinefor copyright protection. This motivated researchers to develop and design a novel newlineand the advanced systems. Recently, numerous digital watermarking algorithms newlinehave been developed to help protect the copyright of digital images and verify newlinemultimedia data integrity. Most of the watermarking algorithm transforms the newlinehost images into a domain that facilities embedding of the watermark information newlinein the robust and imperceptible ways. newline newlineIn the present research work literature survey includes basics of newlinewatermarking, types, spatial domain techniques, frequency domain techniques, newlinedesirable qualities of watermarking and performance metrics for them and factors newlineaffecting these qualities. State of the art techniques of watermarking is also newlinestudied, including the use of soft computing tools, reversible watermarking, newlinewatermarking robust to severe geometric distortions and some other novel newlinetechniques. newline newline |
