Prevalence of infertility in general population newlineis 15 20%. Male factor is responsible for 20 40%. Reduced male fertility can be newlinethe result of congenital and acquired urogenital abnormalities, infections of the genital newlinetract, increased scrotal temperature (varicocele), endocrine disturbances, genetic newlineabnormalities and immunological factors newline1 newline newline1 newlineAbstract newline. No causal factor is found in 60-75% of newlinecases (idiopathic male infertility). Acute and chronic infections of the genitourinary newlinetract may play a contributing role in male factor infertility. newlineAbnormal state of Shukra leads to Ashta Shukra Dushti, which is associated newlinewith Nispraja, GarbaVikruti, Aharshana and Klaibya. The Shukra vitiated by the Dosa newlineis termed as ShukraDusti and is classified into 8 types. Anyadhatu samsrustha newlineRetodushti is one among them where there is infiltration of Rakta and other Dhatus in newlinethe Retas. Semen, apart from spermatozoal cells contains pus cells, precursor cells, newlineparticular debris and amorphous matter. Excluding spermatozoal cells and pus cells newlineremaining all other things may be considered as Anyadhatu samsrustha RetoDushti. newlinePitta and Kapha are the vitiated Doshas present in Anyadhatu samsrustha type of newlineShukradushti. Virechana is the ideal modality of treatment, which is helpful to remove newlinethe vikruta Dosha from the Pittasthana. Vyadhi shaman occurs when Vikruta Pitta and newlineKapha are expelled out.
