Studies on the Management of some Pest Insects using Bio Pesticides as Eco Friendly Approach

Abstract

Today, Insect Pest management (IPM) has to face the economic and ecological consequences by the use of pest control measures. The diversification of the approaches inherent in IPM is necessary for better environmental protection. Pesticides released into the environment may have several adverse effects in changing the normal functioning of an ecosystem. Hence, ecological effects are of serious concern in regulating pesticides use and it is necessary to generate tactics to combat the adverse consequences of these harmful chemicals. Global thinking is needed to search for alternatives of synthetic pesticides to relieve the biosphere from its negative impacts. Fortunately, the growing awareness of public concerns to the ill-effects of chemio-pesticides on human health and environment prompted mankind to search for safer, sustainable and eco-friendly control alternatives.
