| dc.description.abstract | This research attempted to explore how happiness is understood and experienced in newlinepresent India. Happiness has been conceived in a variety of ways in Indian as well as newlinewestern literature. Psychological research on happiness is primarily focused on finding newlinethe sources or correlates of happiness, which is often conceptualized as subjective wellbeing, life satisfaction and/or positive affect. There are only a handful of empirical newlinestudies exploring how happiness is understood by a certain set of people, and fewer have newlineattempted to statistically analyze the insights provided by the enormous theoretical and newlinephilosophical literature. newline | |
