Abstract: V.S. Naipaul is traveller and an Omniscient observer of Indian newlinelandscape which is his ancestral homeland. He visited India with great newlineexpectations but he was disillusioned and expressed his tirade about newlineIndia. He expressed his attitudes about India by keeping his one foot in newlineIndia and another in abroad country but when he realises that India is his newlineancestral homeland, he expresses his compassionate view about his newlineancestral land of India. newlineThe present study attempts to analyse and criticise V.S. Naipaul s newlineattitudes towards India, his disillusionment, tirade and his compassion newlinerespectively in his travelogues on India. His love, his hate, his anger, his newlinecompassion, his attachment and detachment is expressed through his newlinetravelogues on India.
