Abstract: Simplest definition in The Merriam Webster dictionary defines Travel as to move from one place to another The word has its origin in the French term travail which also means to toil labor Travels that is accounts of journeys is recorded in the English language from 1590 onwards It involves spatial movement The term movement functions at the level of newlinephysicality and it also operates metaphorically Metaphor as a linguistic device itself signifies displacement In Greek metaphor means both transport and movement The movement could newlinebe from one end of the globe to another covering hemispheres from one country to another or within the confines of ones own country As soon as the threshold of ones doorstep is crossed there exists a situation where one has to encounter differences and otherness newline newline
