Abstract: | Poverty is one of the main blockades in the development of various newlinecountries especially in India. Even though India is well equipped in newlineIT sector, still majority of the population are still living below newlinepoverty line. To become a progressive nation India should eradicate newlinepoverty first. For that purpose, the cooperation of every segment of newlinepopulation is necessary. In order to remove poverty, The newlineGovernment of India had implemented various poverty eradication newlineprogrammes. The main objectives of the concerned policy is to newlinemake those population who were living the below poverty newlinefinancially strong. One of the main policies is formulation of newlinevarious types of Credit societies. The main objective of all the newlinecredit societies is to make the poor people financially strong and newlinebring them in the main stream. Of late, there has been a turbulent newlinechange in the laws and economic scenario of the nation. newlineThe study attempts to provide recommendations and suggestions newlinewhich can be used for effective management of Urban Co-operative newlineCredit Societies and induct revolution and continuously appreciate newlinethe dynamics change so as to have competitive edge in the survival newlineand growth of Urban Co-operative Credit Societies in Mumbai. newlineUrban Co-operative Credit Societies is the best route for service to newlinethe members which offers an excellent business model particularly, newlinefor service organizations waiting to extend their networks and reach newlinethe members. The present study will be helpful in assessing the past newlineperformance of Urban Co-operative Credit Societies.
