Abstract: | One thirty eight clinical specimens were selected for the identification of dermatophytes directly from clinical specimens Trubrum and Tmentagrophytes were predominantly isolated Genotypic identification is rapid accurate especially in steroid modified dermatophyte cases when compared to the culture MvaI and DdeI on ITS amplicons are good in speciation of dermatophytes A short primer GACA is utilized for the identification of dermatophyte strain variants which is found to be useful in identification of dermatophyte species and Tmentagrophyte strain variants The phospholipase lipase proteinase gelatinase were analyzed which showed positive result on the representative dermatophyte species Trubrum complex and Tmentagrophytes complex showed complete hemolysis Biodegradation of poultry feathers and the keratinolytic activity of dermatophytes were determined where Tinterdigitale and Tmentagrophytes showed maximum activity which was quantitatively estimated for amino acids by HPLC which produced many essential and nonessentials amino acids Genotypic detection of the keratinolytic protein of dermatophytes was detected from all representative dermatophyte species newline |
