Abstract: To determine the effectiveness of integrated approach of educational tools and yoga in the overall outcome among patients with bronchial asthma attending outpatient services at a tertiary care hospital The objectives of the study were to determine the effect of Integrated Approach on knowledge attitude and self efficacy asthma control pulmonary functional measures and Quality of Life among patients with Bronchial asthma of both study and control group Correlate knowledge attitude and self efficacy asthma control pulmonary functional measures and Quality of life among patients with Bronchial asthma of both study and control group Associate the level of knowledge attitude and self efficacy asthma control pulmonary functional measures and quality of life with selected demographic variables of both study and control group To answer the research questions the hypotheses were formulated Related literature were reviewed and Nola J Penders Health promotion model 1996 was used for designing the conceptual framework newlineThe research design adopted for this study was Randomized Controlled Trial with the components of manipulation randomization and control The sample size was 250 with 125 in each group was allocated by random number generator software. Settings were Outpatient services of Sri Ramachandra Hospital Chennai The instruments had 6 parts Part I Background and Clinical Variables Part II Knowledge Attitude and Self efficacy Asthma Questionnaire KASE AQ Part III Asthma Control Questionnaire ACQ and Part IV Pulmonary Functional Measures PFM and Part VAsthma Quality of Life Questionnaire AQLQ and Part VI Symptom peak flow monitoring and yoga performance diary newlineThe result highlighted that integrated approach to be an effective method in improving knowledge attitude and self efficacy and also helps in controlling the symptoms and maximizing the quality of life newline newline newline newline
