Abstract: Images contain large quantity of information that needs a large newlineamount of storage area large bandwidth and also long transmission times newlineTherefore it is important to compress the image by storing only the vital newlinedata that is required for reconstructing the image In order to compress the newlineimage redundancies should be demoralized newlineThus the main aim of image compression is to reduce the newlineredundancy of the image and to transmit data in a proficient form newlineThis application would address the important aspects of minimizing the newlineamount of data necessary to signify a digital image This would provide a newlinecomplete and clear representation of an image with minimized newlinestorage transmission requirements newlineThe extensive growth and development of the multimedia newlinetechnology in recent years have greatly increased the demand for digital newlineinformation This enormous demand makes it difficult for the current newlinetechnology to deal with the huge amount of data A number of image newlineprocessing techniques have been developed due to the evolution in the newlineareas of digital imaging applications The main phenomenon employed in newlineimage compression is the elimination of redundancies present in it newline newline
