Abstract: This study mainly focuses on the employee s problems and policies in private universities of Punjab. The study also focuses on the effect of retention rate on employee s creativity, commitment, motivation and satisfaction in private universities of Punjab. The various factors (Demographic factors) Taking into consideration to study the employs retention. This research study highlights the factors affecting employee retention at private universities of Punjab, various problems and policies in private universities of Punjab, examine the effect of retention rate on employees creativity, commitment, motivation and satisfaction and private universities of Punjab. newlineThe finding of the study that there is a negative relationship between problem and retention among the employees in the private universities of Punjab, imply that the greater the problems the less likely is the retention rate. Thus a person with a more problems holds the negative attitude to words the job, and the person who is satisfied with the job holds positive attitude about the job. This implies further that employees who are satisfied with the policies will retain their jobs and not leave. Therefore, increase in policies will result in decrease in employee turnover. newlineThe study divided into following five chapters:- newline newlineThe first chapter presents an overview of the employee retention, major things involved in retention, reasons for employee retention, The three R s of employee retention, relation between faculty motivation and teaching, faculty retention in higher education in India, the scenario of education and faculty retention in India, causes and reasons for high attrition rate, impact of faculty turnover, strategies to retain faculty members and benefits of employee retention. newlineThe second chapter comprises of collection of literature in selected area of research in which scholar has a limited experience. In the past a very few studies or research articles relating to the private universities have been conducted by researchers, rather than B.P.O sectors
