Abstract: | The advancement of the country relies on the quality of its people and nature of its teachers. For a newlinegenuine teacher educating is a battle, a real existence mission and is relied upon to have his very newlineown code of work and morals. A teacher who is content with his activity assumes an essential job newlinein the upliftment of the general public. In today s globalized world the language used most often newlineis English. English has become the lingua-franka for communication, business, education and newlineopportunity in general. English occupied a place of prestige in our country. India is multilingual newlinecountry where people speak more than 350 languages and dialects. Indians are used to a particular newlinepattern of pronunciation intonation stress and phonology of their mother tongue. consequently, newlinethere is increasing worldwide demand for competent English teachers and more effective newlineapproaches to teaching and teacher professional development by giving training in English newlinelanguage teaching. Teaching learning is a dynamic process and therefore it keeps changing as the newlinecivilization demands. The teacher keeps reforming and reapplying knowledge in order to keep newlineabreast with changing techniques. India is the second fastest growing economy in the world and newlinenow India as a nation it is at an advanced level in the minds of the people of other countries newlinecommanding great respect among other developing nations. This study explores how teachers newlineperceive and respond to this call for change in their teaching practices.
