Abstract: | A large number of mutually coordinated sensors termed as wireless sensor network. These sensors are basically transducers that convert the energy from one form to another form. They measure the natural conditions and any other type of physical phenomenon like temperature, pressure, and sound etc, and provide the output in the form of electrical signal. This signal gives the information about the objects located and events happening near the sensors. These sensors are interconnected through the wireless communication channels to sense the environment. The transmitter section sends this information to a main location. Apart from the sensor node, one more significant component in the WSN is the base station (BS). Primary function of the BS is to collect the information and to connect the sensor network with the remote server. newlineThe WSNs are used in various types of applications from forest fire detection, to military and security applications. Application of these types of networks seem endless, ranging from battle field surveillance, monitoring of environmental conditions, earth quake, and pipelines to smart cities, health and commercial. The architecture of WSN for real world applications faces various constraints on the network, including cost, memory, size, storage, power resources, connectivity and scalability etc. newline newline |
