Abstract: Fiber reinforced composites have emerged as a major class of newlinestructural material in many weight critical components in aerospace newlineautomotive and other industrial sectors due to their advantages like high newlinestrength to weight ratio high stiffness to weight ratio good wear and newlinecorrosion resistance high temperature resistance etc Despite several newlineadvantages they have certain drawbacks which include high cost abrasive newlinenature high energy consumption during processing non biodegradability newlinenon renewability scarcity etc These drawbacks limit the use of conventional newlinefiber composites mainly for aerospace and military applications where high newlinecost of the fiber is not of high importanc newline newline newline
