The closed form analytical expressions for the displacement and strains newlinefields due to vertical force and vertical dipole in porous media are obtained. The newlinevariation of radial displacement, vertical displacement and strains with height for newlinevarious materials like Ruhr sandstone, Tennessee marble, Charcoal granite, Berea newlinesandstone and Westerly granite are discussed. newlineWe also obtained closed form analytical expressions for the displacement and strain newlinefields due to centre of dilatation, compensated linear vector dipole, tensile dislocation newlinein a homogenous, isotropic poroelastic half-space.
