Abstract: newline There is a rapid increase in the evolution of harmful gases, which are polluting the atmosphere day by day. Eventually there is an immense impact on the human health care system and thereby introduction of serious and hazardous issues. On the other side, the existing combustible and hazardous gases in the environment needs to be monitored precisely and regularly. Therefore, gas sensors have a special role in the protection and safety concerns. There is an urgent demand for gas sensors in recent years that has increased enormously. Nowadays, numerous types of gas sensors are available in the market. Amongst them semiconducting gas sensors are more favorable due to its cost effectiveness, high - electron mobility, electrical conductivity, thermal, chemical and mechanical stability newline Water is fundamental necessity for all industrial processes, household and commercial activities. The wastewater produced from their activities, contains various contaminants which are harmful for plants and aquatic life. The industrial operations prominently textile, pharmaceutical, pesticides and other organic chemical manufacturing industries discharges waste water in which phenolic compounds and various dyes are mixed. These effluents are extremely colored and are polluted with high concentration of organic compounds, dispersed and dissolved salts and several unmanageable compounds. Even availability of little concentration of these compounds in effluent produces poisonous effect and polluted odors to water. If these effluents are not treated properly, they will create a serious hazard to all species survive in that water because hydrolysis of the pollutants in waste water can turn out a great deal of toxic products. photocatalytic oxidation has been projected for the degradation of these compounds even at minute concentration
