Abstract: newline Background: Organic practices in agriculture had been in vogue in ancient Indian newlinecivilizations and these practices even found mentioned in authentic texts. The newlineVrikshayurveda is one such text, which systematizes to enhance the efficiency and yield of newlineplants. Though, these practices mentioned in Vrikshayurveda literatures and are still newlinepracticed requires validation for their wider acceptability and utility. newlineObjectives: To develop SOP for preparation of Kunapa jala (KJ) and Pancha gavya (PG). newlineEvaluating the efficacy of KJ and PG through cultivation of Withania somnifera and newlineAndrographis panicaulata. To evaluate the quality and quantity of W. somnifera and A. newlinepanicaulata grown with the application of KJ and PG. newlineMethodology: Preparation of KJ and PG according to standard operative procedure and newlineevaluation of nutrient contents following standard references. Germination, morphological, newlinegrowth, biochemical, quality and yield parameters of W. somnifera and A. panicaulata newlinetreated with KJ and PG studied and compared with standard (FYM) treatment. newlineSimultaneous detection and quantification of selected phytoconstituents viz. Withaferin A newline(WFA), Withanolide A (WIA) and Withanolide B (WIB) of W. somnifera; newlineAndrographolide (A1), neoandrographolide (A2) and 14-deoxy-11, 12- newlinedidehydroandrographolide (A3) of A. paniculata, will be studied using reverse phase - newlineultra fast liquid chromatograpy following standard guidelines. newlineResults: Nutrient contents were found to be maximum in KJ. Germination parameters newlinereveled, in both the plants NPK treatment was effective in early onset of germination and newlineon studied germination parameters. KJ and PG treatments were effective in studied growth, newline[IX] newline newlinebiochemical, quality, yield parameters. The method development of simultaneous detection newlineof selected phytoconstituents of W. somnifera at harvest (150 DAS) revealed, max quantity newlineof WFA was found in leaves of PG treated group. Similarly, maximum WIA and WIB newlinecontents were observed in root and stem of PG and NPK
