Abstract: The Thesis entitled STEREOSELECTIVE TOTAL SYNTHESIS OF BIOLOGICALY ACTIVE NATURAL PRODUCTS ACHAETOLIDE, PANAXJAPYNE C, GONIOTHALESDIOL A AND (5R,6S)- newlineACETOXYHEXADECANOLIDE has been divided into four chapters. Chapter I: This chapter describes stereoselective total synthesis of newlineachaetolide by using 2-deoxy-D-ribose involving the grigard reaction, acrocyclization and ring closing metathesis reactions. Chapter II: This chapter deals with first stereoselective total synthesis newlineof panaxjapyne C by using L-Ascorbic acid involving the regioselective epoxide opening and Cadiot-Chodkiewicz cross-coupling reactions. Chapter III: This chapter describes concise stereoselective synthesis newlineof goniothalesdiol A.
