Abstract: Noise cancellation is a technique used to cancel the noise in the newlineSignals Noise Cancellation finds a lot of applications like mobile phones newlinehearing aids Bluetooth receivers It is difficult to hear any signal especially newlinespeech signal in a noisy environment An adaptive filter plays a vital role in newlinecancelling the noise in the speech signal Adaptive filters use various newlinealgorithms for reducing the noises in the signal So an improved Adaptive newlinefilter based Noise cancellation for speech signals approach named Variable newlineStep Size Normalized Differential LMS VSSNDLMS algorithm that newlineincorporates the performance and features of Variable Step Size LMS newline VSSLMS and Normalized Differential LMS NDLMS is proposed newlineThe primary idea of this thesis is to effectively remove noise from newlinethe speech signal and to propose a speech to text conversion model which can newlinebe a potential boon for Hearing Impaired Persons who have great difficulty in newlineunderstanding speech signals The speech to text convertor model takes a newlinenoise free signal as input and converts the signal into text format The newlineperformance degrades in the presence of noisy signal newline newline newline
