Abstract: The stochastic nature of the PV energy, introduces various power quality issues, while newlineintegrating to the grid system. The important aspects of the power quality problems in the newlinegrid integrated PV generation are the voltage deviation, harmonics and the combination of newlineflicker and fluctuation in voltage.Higher penetration levels of renewable energy into the main newlinegrids demand higher quality of the power delivery at each power conversion stage of the newlinerenewable energy sources. Unlike the traditional grid, the control of the power connected to newlinethe grid needs control in each stage to be available for the utility. Integration of distributed newlinegeneration takes place via the power electronic converters by maintaining the power quality newlinenorms. But higher switching frequency of inverters introduces harmonics creating power newlinequality issues. Therefore, an efficient technique is needed for solving this problem. newlineVarious topological changes in the functional power conversion stages in the AC-DC newlineconversion stage with amalgamation of control algorithms were introduced to obtain the newlinebetter power delivery from the renewable energy sources. In this research, attempts have been newlinemade to solve the aspect of voltage deviation and the harmonics while integrating the PV newlinepower to the grid introducing functional variations in the control systems applied on power newlineconversion stages. This research has attempted to propose a hybrid technique with suitable newlinepower electronic devices to maintain a better power quality, voltage profile and the lesser newlineharmonic level in the PV energy. The attempt was made to apply functional variants of power newlineelectronics devices and the hybrid control techniques in order to provide stable power at each newlinestage of the power conversion. The major contribution of the research was the formulation of newlinethe control algorithm applied on the voltage source converter to obtain better total harmonic newlinedistortion at the point of common coupling and three phase ac output. The comprehensive newlinealgorithm performed better in maintaining better THD at the point of common coupling and newlineoutput in the two stage power conversion topology .In order to improve THD at the grid side newlinethe intelligent dq controller-based grid synchronization techniques were included. The Hybrid newlinemethods like the Fuzzy-PI and ANFIS-PI were involved in the dq controller for better THD newlineat the point of common coupling. newlineThe overall implementations done in the present work are as follows. The topology utilizes newlinethe Perturb and Observation based MPPT with controlled Voltage Source Converter (VSC) at newlinethe grid side interface. The performance of traditional method i.e using proportional integral newlinecontroller is compared with the hybrid methods like Fuzzy-PI and ANFIS-PI controllers. newline newlineSimulation process is done in Matlab-Simulink platform. Tabulated results include output newlinevoltage at the converter, active power, reactive power delivered to grid and THD obtained newlinewith each controller technique. The simulation results carried out inferred that the THD newlineimprovement is more pronounced while the hybrid ANFIS-PI controllers are used in power newlineconversion topology. newline
