Abstract: Nanotechnology is the art and science of manipulating matter at the newlineatomic or molecular scale and can lead to significant improvements in science newlineand technology The spirit of nanotechnology is the ability to work at these newlinelevels, to generate larger structures with fundamentally new molecular newlineorganization These nanostructures exhibit novel physical chemical and newlinebiological properties The aim of nanotechnology is to learn to exploit these newlineproperties and efficiently manufacture and employ these structures On the newlinebright side future developments in nanotechnology may lead to greater newlinecontrol over the design of chemical and engineering technologies newlineSynthesis and characterization of nanomagnetic materials have newlinegained scientific and technological importance in recent years due to their newlineunique and size dependent properties when compared to their bulk counter newlineparts Conventionally materials with their particle size up to 100 nm have newlinebeen classified as nanomaterials and those with particle size 100 nm are newlineclassified as bulk These materials possess high specific surface area newlineenhanced diffusion properties high density and excellent electrical newlineelectronic magnetic catalytic electrochemical and biological properties The newlinecompounds in the realm of active research based on the end uses are spinels newlineperovskites garnets semiconductors polymers organometallics and newlineintermetallics Among the spinel oxidesAB2O4 spinel ferrites AFe2O4 newlinehave gained prominent attention due to their advantageous properties in newlinenanoscale with specific applications in the fields such as magnetic data newlinestorage magnetic resonance imaging drug delivery energy storage catalytic newlinebiosensing sensorsferrofluids transformer cores cell and DNA separation newline newline
