Abstract: In the recent decades, all the power consumers are using very newlinesensitive loads and needs the quality power. Therefore the quality of power newlinecan be more important for the utility systems and industry in both domestic newlineand industrial loads. The quality of the power can be involving a straight newlineeconomic impact on power consumers and suppliers. Currently, standards and newlineregulations are forced to keep the power quality parameters at the Point of newlineCommon Coupling (PCC). All the energy consumers are affected by severe newlinetechnical and economic impacts due to the power quality problems such as newlinevoltage dip, voltage swell, harmonics and long voltage interruptions. newlineTherefore the innovative and cost effective compensation techniques are newlineneeded to implement in the power system for solving the power quality newlineissues The high speed power electronic devices can be implemented to newlinesatisfy the better compensation methodology to achieve an effective solution newlinefor the power quality problems. A Photo Voltaic based Distribution Static newlineCompensator (PV-D-STATCOM) is one of the custom device and most newlineadaptable device in all Flexible AC Transmission System devices for newlineimproving the quality of voltage and current in distribution network at a point newlineof installation in the power systems. D-STATCOM has a Voltage Source Inverter (VSI) based shunt newlinedevice used in the distribution system for improving the power quality. It has newlinebeen very simple power electronic based control, to regulate the current newlineinjection into the distribution bus. In the distribution network, the Dispersion newlineGeneration (DG) is becoming very popular, due to the availability of the newlinerenewable energy sources newline newline
